Hmm.... I'm teetering back and forth as to whether I would call them dark comedies. Don't get me wrong, you've mentioned two of all time favorite movies there, but I think I'd put them in a different category from the other movies I mentioned. I think the main reason is that I wouldn't call Fight Club and American Beauty comedies.
