They all kicked major ass, and I prefer NG and DS9, but I think NG takes the lead. The story did follow, you might not see it extremely obvious but with thought of it, there was a storyline moving through. Deep Space had its definate bonuses, one of them being they had the huge space station as a main plot. Everything went down there, and so they could be in many places thus they could have 3 episodes and barely touch the whole place. On that note, you'd see people interact on the whole ship. To top that off they ended up getting the Defiance (my favorite ship btw) so that they could do missions elsewhere as well. But I like to look at the Captains to figure out which episode comes on top. Sisko was great, and if you pissed him off, he'd thwack you for it.
BUT.... Picard had a most brilliant mind, and a cool temper. On top of that Q simply loved to mingle with him, a definate bonus in my book.
