I have to agree with the DS9 people. I loved this show, seeing O'Brian's character being fleshed out from TNG was great. (How many people remember him as the teleporter guy?

Avery Brooks stole the show though as far as acting goes with Terry Farrell & Micheal Dorn come in as a close second and third. Like RedRavin said, this show has excellent actors and acting.

I’d say the first few seasons were decent to good, but by the end of the show's run you have the best Trek show to date. TNG was and is great in its own right, but DS9 holds the number one spot in my book.
