i'm not sure if its what you meant GoldenOuroboros, but your video card has zilch to do with render times for a renderer like max, or maya etc, cpu is #1 and then memory, video cards only come in during menu, creating tools and fast previews.
its a good image, the only things i'd say that gives it away is the object in the top right the base needs more faces, did you create it with a curved surface then split in polys ?
its hard to tell with the low res image, the shadows seem low and the reflection in the cup doesnt seem quite right either, does the software have some sort of resolution granularity setting for the final scene ( not width*height but depth of the render itself)
from the looks of the rendered image i'm guessing its a raytracer, maybe a hybrid raytracer/scanline with the radiosity i'm wondering what resolution it runs in, i'd have to say i think max or maya would probably render a better image, it'd be interesting to see a comparison.
