I'm slightly dubious about your comment that ibanez's are just for playing around with, but one day i'll buy a schec' and make a fair comparison.
In answer to my own question, versatility, durability, integrity and quality. Thats pretty idealistic i know, and pretty obvious, but what do you look specifically for in your guitar? If i had to pick one, it'd be ease of shredding.
