I guess we all have our bad stories about Ouija boards.

I remember I was on a trip with a big group of friends in Washington state. There were about 30 of us, I guess and we were all 8 to 10 (yes, we did have chaperones, we weren't just wandering around). Anyway, one night we stayed in a youth hostel and they had a bunch of board games for their guests, one of which was a Ouija board. We all sat down with it and just started playing around with it.

People cycled in and out, so the same person wasn't running it the whole time. But I remember that by the end of the night, we were all scared totally out of our minds with that thing. Unfamiliar, kind of weird place, strange messages coming out of a board. My mom tells me that she watched some of the kids organize it and set it up to scare the rest us. I kind of want to believe that, but...I don't know.

I don't really know what to believe about it. It's certainly not something I really ever use now.
