Avatars are great. There are so many good reasons to have one and most of the reasons have already been posted. I particularly like the way Jadzia uses her avatar.
I also like to see the other avatars, especially animated ones. they just add some personality to the post. I really like Spec's avatar too. I am already planning what I will create for my avatar when it comes time for me to upload one.
