Depends who and how they do it, and also how they react to me noticing. A 40-something father of two who oogles me and then leers suggestively when I catch his eye, creeps me out. A fellow student who takes a quick glance at my cleavage then sheepishly looks away when I notice, its sort of endearing.
Lately, I've been having more strangers comment on the way I look. Maybe its my new confidence or the fact that I lost 20 lbs., or the fact that I'm no longer in a community where everyone has known me since birth. But just over a week ago, I was walking down the street towards my car, dressed rather nicely in a skirt and boots and my coat. Out of nowhere, the guy coming in the oppisote direction smiles at me and says, "You look wonderful today." I grinned and said thank you, because his tone was sincere and he didn't press the issue. He didn't say, "Hey baby, what's you're name" or anything, so I flashed him my best smile and continued on my way. It's when guys hang out of their cars to talk to me when I'm just trying to go home that I want to slap the bastards.
