I often post just a short reply and I certainly am not trying to boost my post count by any means.
Sometimes I want to show that member that yes I did read it and appreciated it but I don't always have anything critical to say. I am reading the posts to enjoy the work - not write an essay afterwards. I don't think there is anything at all wrong with saying just "Nice work". I think personally I would be a little hurt if I posted something and received "x" number of views but no comments.
Just my opinion.
(And to those of you who post here just to up your count....shame on you!)
