I have one. No freaky stuff happening with my board. I don't have anyone to use it with much anymore, save for my best friend who has used it with me a few times over the years. I had a group of friends in middle school and high school.. we'd bust it out at pretty much every slumber party and do a séance sort of thing. There was one time when my friends contacted a spirit that was not so friendly, and my friend started choking in the middle of a session like she was being strangled. It only lasted for a few seconds. We'd had enough of Ouija for the night.
That's not to say we stopped forever. If you want to contact something, make sure you know VERY well who you want to talk to. Just don't call some random spirit. If you believe that it will work, then you want to make sure you don't putz around and ask for a demon or something like that. You could get some bad results. Not that I ever have, personally.
On my board, it doesn't work if all the people using it don't believe it will work, or are in the slightest bit skeptical. Everyone has to be willing to participate and believe that the board will function properly for it to do so. This was not so with my friend's Ouija board, only mine. Can't say why. I've tried it with my brother, and being that he is skeptical, there was no response.
Am I afraid to use it? Nah. Have I used it lately? Nope. Haven't had the inclination. Poor thing is just collecting dust in my closet. Maybe I can find someone to play with it one of these days.
