Nina felt a seething pain slice through her arm even though she had not been hit.
"What the...?" She glanced back to see blood running down Vanelee's arm where she had felt the stab of pain. As she was looking back, the golem she had been fighting swung violently, hitting her in the chest and knocking her to the ground.
