Partition Magic caused physical damage to my brother's HDD. I would be very, very cautious of using it. He had to RMA it back to the company claiming that it simply stopped working.
I've heard very good things about it and very bad things about it, so I don't really know what the final verdict is on it. Just letting ya know that when it fucks up, it fucks up bad.
