One of my best friends is from Britain. He isnt overly good looking, but man, as soon as the girls hear him talk, they are all over him. I guess it helps that hes pretty damn funny, too...
I dont really think you can tell if someone is hot through their voice. It is possible to have an incredibly sexy voice that, with the right woman, is the most incredible turn-on. The two dont always go together, though.
