That is what I read in a car magazine, something like car and driver or road & track. Its highly possible that only shell sells the oil right now, but as far as patenting oil, I dont think its possible. Other companies can come out with an oil to use and there is no way ferrari can say no, but its prob an expensive synthetic oil that has high R&D costs which do not justify its development at this time.
