Lost, you're thinking of Dungeon Seige. It is simply a Dungeon Crawler.. Hack'N'Slash. Don't get me wrong, its a great game, but its a lot more linear than you'd think.
The best game is D&D using IRC with a roll bot, AIM using //roll-DiceX-SidesY, or MSN and trust people to not lie about their dice rolls.
