It may look stupid, but it's completely functional, it actully serves a purpose, it's not a 16 year kid with a carbon fiber wing on his Grand Am to make it look cool, it actully does somthing.
Personally, I think the CTS is a bit "square" for my tastes, then again, everything GM stamps the Caddy symbol on is a bit square these days. However, Motor Trend asked the question after a review, Could the CTS be Cadillac's "perfect car?".
Your obviously looking in the 30k range, I would suggest the BMW (I'm a bit biased) or the Acura. If you want AWD for 30k, and a little luxury to boot, you might want to look into an A4 Quattro.
