I try to remain aware that this is all still going on and I know some activists out there who flood one of my email addresses every single day with new accounts of the actions of our rotten Government. It's disheartening to watch their hard work go nowhere. I won't tell them though to stop sending the emails and I try to read at least a few; I don't want to pretend it's not happening and make them lose hope.

Adele Horin in the Sydney Morning Herald suggested that if Pauline Hanson was locked in a detention centre for a few months, the asylum seekers might have an advocate the "battlers" would actually LISTEN to. Here's the article.

What a national disgrace this Government is. I would have thought (immigration minister) Amanda Vanstone would look as much like a zombie as ( former immigration minister) Phillip Ruddock used to look by now; but she's seemingly oblivious to her own moral corruption and thus remains as doughy as ever.
