Another excuse or psychological issue?

I've been weight training for the past 20 years and the last 5 have been the hardest (i.e., wife, kids, job, etc.,). I don't have a problem getting up at 5 am to do cardio, I don't have a problem planning my meals to get enough protein. My problem falls into my knowledge and everthing that "I know" I'm suppose to do.

If I don't get everything right on the mark; diet, cardio, weight training, then I feel like its not worth doing any of it. It's a mental block that I can't seem to get rid of.

Has anyone else dealt with this or something similar. Again, I agree its another excuse, but I've found ways past the other, more common excuses.

Please help, I'm too smart for my own good...
