On that gas station note, a few pals an I were road tripping from northern Illinois where i live to the southern tip and down into MI (about a 6-7 hour drive). We were in roughly south-center of Illinois neither closer to the East nor West border of the state and stopped to fill up. While inside getting snacks I made the snide remark "Gee I sure do miss Illinois" in a blatently joking manner, the pals had a chuckle and the 16 yr old girl behined the counter yelled "YOU"RE STILL IN ILLINOIS" rather rudely in my face. We were somewhat shocked as it was pretty obvious I was kidding. We still make joking refrences to that night about 1.5 years ago to this day...I kinda felt sorry for her if she was really that dense...
