I'll second whoever mentioned 'The Eye' (yes, it was a Chinese movie). It is far, far scarier than the similarly-themed Sixth Sense and more entertaining too. Don't wait for the yankee remake that's going to come out and ruin it, definately get the original.
28 Days later is also fantastic.
