"Heh, a good trade I'd say," boasted Eldaire.
This guy may be fast, but I obviously have the strength advantage. I need to keep that in mind.
He reached for one of the spheres, ignoring the terrible pain in his ribs from the punch. He pulled out the fire one, glowing a gentle red and warming his numb hands.
"I'm sorry if this is not honorable, but I'm about to take another advantage."
Eldaire then focused his will, grabbing hold of the fabric of reality, shaping it. Within a second, the magic spell was cast. The world seemed to slow down and become distant from Eldaire. The acceleration spell had worked perfectly. He threw the sphere at the mysterious nameless samurai with great speed. Even so, the samurai managed to cut it clean in half mid-air, sending the two sides away from him. However, the magic spell in the sphere was then released and a blast of flame erupted in front of him. Eldaire was instantly behind the samurai, hoping to catch him off gaurd. He came down hard with his heavy sword, but the samurai easily stopped the blow dead in its tracks with his blade. Eldaire made no attempt to hide his shock. Not only had this warrior managed to outspeed him in spite of acceleration, he wasn't even phased by what should have been at the very least an extremely distracting tactic. On top of that, he had stopped the broad sword with his skinny little Japanese sword.
Uh-oh. This isn't looking good.
