For some reason I tend to very much like women with British accents. However, I had (and still have for a few lectures this semester) last year a female professor with a southern US accent and it drove me (and about 1/4 of the other guys in my class) wild. She was attractive, but by no means drop dead gorgeous or anything to make us this nuts. It was totally the accent.
