I'm glad so many other people like, or atleast were scared by, Event Horizon. Such a funny movie in places, the things some of the characters say are just absurd, but the movie is actually very scary. The circuit-board tunnel scene is one of my favorite of any movie.
I'm glad someone mentioned The Thing (John Carpenter's version) I'd forgotten about that frightening gem.
I'm glad that no matter how many times I watch these staple horror movies and no matter how old I get they still remain scary as hell. There's nothing worse that remembering some movie that scared the hell out of me when I was younger and then watching and finding it to be not only not scary now, but stupid. Runaway (with Magnum PI and the dude from Kiss) scared the hell out of me as a kid, but in all actuality it's a dumb ass movie.
Speaking of which, does anyone remember a movie where kids would walkout into a "fog" and then their fingernails would turn black and they would go all zombie and attack people? Burning them with their hands? It's not The FOG, that's a different movie. But anyway this "fog" movie scared the crap outta me a kid. I wonder if it's actually stupid.....
