It doesn't matter if the NRA needs the ACLU, which they don't, but if they want to be the group they claim to be they should defend/support them. Read below. This is from ACLU's website.

Do I not have the right to own a gun? Then why doesn't the ACLU defend it?
IMO, the ACLU is not only a bad group, but a terrible one and it couldn't possibly be worse.
I'll leave it at that because I can't express my opinion of the ACLU in a manor which is accepted here, and with that I think I'll just go back to not posting in politics... Christ, I fucking hate this board.
