Any serious duck hunter will learn the values of the right kind of decoy spread. I have over 5 dozen decoys and on some days I'll use all of them, or more with a friend, and on other days I'll only toss out three. It totally depends on the situation, ie weather, time of year, area, how the birds are acting, etc.
As important as a good spread is, a good call and a good caller are even more important.
