Prince, sorry - I should have said justify file-sharing of copyrighted materials on Napster and Kazaa. You are absolutely right about the ability of these networks to be used for all kinds of cool stuff other than this.
I was just using U2 as an example to say that the music that is being shared illegally is often of artists that won't be using the cheaper home setups that you mentioned.
I think that your third paragraph is exactly the way that I feel about the RIAA. There should be more emphasis on due process...
I guess it turns out that I agree with just about everything you said...
