The battle to be Bourbon Street roadkill under the Sooner Schooner.
Southern Cal- #2 in ESPN, probably #2 in AP, #2 or #3 in the computer ranks, #13 BCS SOS (#21 vs all known opponents). Their remaining schedule isn't great (@ Arizona, UCLA, Oregon State) but BCS #2 is theirs if they win out.
Florida State - #3 in ESPN, probably #3 in AP, #3-6 in the computers, #38 BCS SOS (#23 vs all known opponents). Remaining schedule is a bit tough (@ Clemson, North Carolina State, @ Florida), but not enough to surpass Southern Cal without them losing without some really bizarre stuff happening.
Ohio State - Remaining schedule is Michigan State, Purdue, and @ Michigan. One of these three will eliminate Ohio State. Penn State almost did yesterday.
Miami - #7 in ESPN and probably the same in AP. Last night, not only did they lose but they lost horribly, turning into a bunch of crybabies and thugs. A lot of coaches and sportswriters saw that game, and voted accordingly. A two-loss Michigan or an undefeated TCU has a better shot at the Sugar Bowl now.
LSU, Virginia Tech, & TCU basically need everyone above them to lose. TCU plays Louisville on Tuesday, their one true opponent for the season. LSU does have the SOS help of playing the SEC East champion if they win out (and if the SEC can figure who the SEC East champ is). Virginia Tech is thinking Orange Bowl instead of Sugar Bowl.
