When I went away to college, my Dad gave a "care package" which included condoms.
The funny thing was - this was in the 70s - every girl was on the pill, and "safe sex" back then meant "not when her husband is in town."
I never used a single one, but I thought at the time that it was pretty cool of him to be looking out for me.
