I am trying to install Redhat 9 on my Compaq 2175 US (dual boot with xp pro [already installed]).

When I boot off the Redhat9 disc, it doesn't give me the graphical GUI, only the text one. It gets to a screen asking if i wanna check my media, but the hardware locks up (can't turn on caps lock, num lock, etc).

I have tried setting a resolution=1024x768 option at boot as well as noprobe, but no luck.

Anyone got any ideas?
