Reading Freud only teaches me one thing; that Freud was pretty fucked up and had a thing for his mother.
But he opened the door to modern psychology, and that's what he should be recognized for.
I also believe that he set the feminist struggle back indefinetely. He and Jung opened the door for all those "rockets are phallic symbols" theories.
