My amplifier is an old Yamaha that my grandfather was using. Its about 25 years old. I dont know the model (sorry, Im at school), but it sounds pretty damn good, and I didnt have a need for a new receiver. It is driving a pair of Boston VR940s. I have a Cerwin Vega 10" subwoofer for when I move to a home theatre setup when I move into an apartment (got a good deal on that one), but I dont run it, the speakers hold their own just fine.
