Um...did you WATCH either of those guys attempt to hit in the series? I'd rather have Roger Clemens at-bat in a critical situation then those two.
Soriano is a good athlete, but is in the wrong spot, both offensively and defensively. Put him in center to take advantage of his speed, and bat him 4-5 to hide the fact that he has Rob Deerian plate discipline, and you have a winner.
Giambi is looking bad. He could never play D well, and now has that knee problem that gives him the range of Babe Ruth's corpse. He seems to be trying too hard to hit homers, and is about a half-season away from doing the full Jeff Weaver/Bobby Bonilla and not talking to anyone short of the woman on the phone-sex line.
