Yeah I know what you mean. I used to listen to rock when I was younger. There are only a few good bands. Ones with amazing shredding and great solos. I hate rock that sounds the same, which today is, just about everything that comes out. Now I listen to rap. Finally realized it's just the far more superior genre of music, and now I just totally dispise rock. If it were up to me I would get rid of the whole genre of rock all together.
