From what I know, in Japanese, you end most syllables with vowel sounds, so it would be Ah-Kee-Ra, and not Ah-Keer-a

As for Kaneda, you get the N fault and end a syllable on that, but not extending it on to the next syllable Kan-e-da, or Ka-ne-da.
