thx for the comments, the original was done in india ink on a 18x24" piece of newsprint. the darker and fuzzy lines were done by wetting the paper first. The tools I used I mostly found on the ground. The thin lines were done with a handful of pine needles I bundled together. Some of the thicker, straighter lines were done with a sharp piece of plastic I found. I think the reason I don't like the second one as much is because I hardly used the pine needles at all... oh well.

oh, and since the space on my wall is limited, I put it on my wall vertically, like this. which one looks better?
