This is a very interesting argument.

I don't understand why lawmakers seem to think that they can legislate problems away. They seem to think that civil law can be binding....some news for you: civil law is only binding when its constituents (I can never spell that word) feel it is just. I think that, like weed, these laws will be ignored.

If the reason that we have laws is to defend the rights of those governed, at the expense of some of those rights (which is what government tells us laws are for), then what the HELL is this law doing? Who's rights is it defending?
