Ctrl-F12 is the magic key.
I've played the demo, and while I do respect the Halo magic, I was somewhat disappointed. I think, silly as it may be, that the *textures* of things are to blame. On the XBox (at least over at a friend's house where I spent an afternoon or two playing SP), the whole game looked good. On my monitor, everything looks *bad*. The menus are pixellated and jaggy. The Pelicans look like they're carved out of a single piece of pitted, rusty steel. Hell, Master Chief's *hands* look like they're carved out of a single piece of pitted, rusty steel.
I can see what is still a great physics engine (I spent 10 minutes in a LAN game just 'chasing' a Warthog around with fuel rods and grenades, flipping and cartwheeling it along) has been ported very well. But the actual texture .png or .tga or whatever files are sorely in need of an update.
It seems like a silly complaint when I say it, but it really detracts from my suspension of disbelief! I guess I'm a sucker for the pretty. :/
