I think the truth can keep parties in check. I am not saying media should not say anything against either party I am say thing they should say things about both. If they screw up, tell us. Don't hide shit on one side while trying to put the other on blast. It makes the news look unreliable when you point out the others flaws while having skeletons in your own closet.
