Fridrik Skulason, the man behind the company,
is an icon in the anti-virus business. Way back
in the olden days of Usenet, he was pretty
much the ultimate authority on comp.virus.
(Maybe he still is -- I just don't hang out there
myself any more).
His original anti-virus program, f-prot, was free
for home use and regularly outperformed its
competition in tests -- in any tests that weren't
done by John McAfee, that is.
I've stuck with his stuff ever since my first PC --
from freeware on up to the current product
line. I've never been disappointed in any
way. Including, it should go without saying,
by being infected with a virus.
