I don't know how helpful it would or wouldn't be. From what I've heard, this type of therapy is similar to acupunture in theory. It is based on activating points in the body through touch that will help to heal the individual.
I don't know anything about it's success. To me the theory sounds very reasonable. There are so many medical studies showing how touch is so important to the healing process physically and mentally. Children who are held and nurtured with touch develop more fully and are generally more healthy. "Kangaroo" care in premie nurseries is implimented in so many places because they've found that the child thrives so much more when placed in skin to skin contact with the mother. Just a hug is healing emotionally and physically.
I would be open to trying this kind of therapy. I'm curious to know how it goes. I hope you find help.
