I'll have to review the film (I own it on VHS), but as I recall, that was Jordan that was promised to the Palestinians.
Also, there were several massacres where Arabs went on rampages and killed Jews.
During the '47 war, many Palestinians fled by their own choosing to neighboring Jordan until the "Zionists" were drivin out by the Arabs (which of course never happened.
Anyway, now back to your regularly scheduled thread.
