It still just depends on what you like...
If you don't like the game designer leading you around by your ear, you play PC RPG's. The storys not the main part of the story, exploration and discovery are.
If you want a story then you play Console RPG's. You're kind of lead through the game without a lot of freedom but you get a, usually, good story.
