Home-made blowpipes
I never understood how the ancient people used to be able to shoot and hit birds and animals with blowpipes, but now I sure do. Those things are awesome!
Some people worked on the aircons at the office and there was a bunch of straight copper pipes left over, so we messed around with them making blowpipes to see if that could be a useful addition to our "office wars" armoury.
For the darts we rolled magazine paper (glossy is best) into a conical shape and hardened them with glue, so they are light but pretty stiff.
Best pipe length seems to be 52cm. I cant comment on the ideal diameter as ours were all the same (6mm). Best dart length is about 13cm.
Takes under 2 seconds for a dart to travel about 20 yards and penetrate a cardboard box, and accuracy is incredible, even for the unskilled.
It rocks!
