First off:
Splinter Cell on the Playstation 2:
graphics were pretty good, but nothing to really notice. compared to what the X-Box could do with the lighting, the PS2s version was just dull.
the music was nothing to take much note of, but it wasn't terrible. The sound affects were exelent, though, and were very helpful.
Gameplay was what hooked and kept me in. The control scheeme is pretty much flawless and usefull. I especially liked the R2 to pull or holster a gun and
R1 to shoot. the only thing i didn't care for was no option to strafe unless you had a weapon in hand. also, though it looks amazing, the whole jump-up-above-the-enemy's head split thingie never came in handy but once.
The story was shallow, but bearable.
over all, I thoroughly enjoyed it, if a little let down. I feel like I have to turn it on again to finish it.... then remember I /did/. the ending is very unsattisfying.
i give it a strong 7.
