Yeah, I wish there was a clear answer here. The problem is stated best by a PBS show called

I can think this through as a "mature adult" and still not feel 'turned on' by some female who's been with my friends. Thinking that I'm not being a 'mature adult' does squat to control feelings. My solution is to just live with the feelings and pursue women outside my little circle.
