At the risk of sounding a little psycho -

I love the simple, effective design of my double action 357 Mag revolver. Cock it, and you have time to aim carefully before you pull the trigger. But if it isn't cocked, you can pull the trigger hard and it will cock and fire immediately. It's hard to aim that way, but if you need to shoot like RIGHT NOW, the odds are that you are shooting at something near to you, and precise aim isn't that important.

What about ice? What if, like most things, water got heavier when it got really cold. Instead of floating, ice would sink. Bodies of water would freeze solid. Being a fish would SUCK.
