I've heard nothing but bad news from new rx-8 owners. Mazda has been forced to
buy back 04 models because the performance has been such a disappointment. I like Mazda's, I like rotaries, someone just
really fucked up on this one. Rotaries really lack torque, why you wouldn't turbo a rotary sports car is beyond me... Here's a dyno plot...
