You are trying to bait me with some kind of comparison between your bush and clinton. I could care less, just ask youself why you hate clinton so, yet can always find plenty of similarities between bush and your archnemesis clinton whenever it suits you.
I'm all for the elimination of dictatorships and oppressive regimes, as i'm sure most of the world is. However, to use that as justification for one war in light of the U.S.'s well documented support of oppressive dictatorships across the world, including mr. hussein's, seems a little backwards.
It's seems like a good position to take, because it is hard to argue against the liberation of a people. Unfortunately, i doubt anyone but the most naive think that is the only reason that we went to war. WMDs were cited by the administration as part of the threat of iraq under saddam's leadership, part of the reason we needed to invade. If it was all about liberation, why would they even bring up WMDs? Certainly clinton didn't have to fabricate any kind of threat to america coming from serbia to put troops in action over there.
