already been said, but its really the maturity of the person. My g/f's first was when she was 15, with me. I think that, for the most part, 14 is too young, but if you are able to truly think responsibly about it, then you are old enough, I think. (then again, that excludes a lot of my friends here in college, whose mental age is in the single digits :P )
