yall be carefull here...
the diffrence between a $5 stamp <AOW>and a $200 <SBR>is that the AOW can NEVER have a stock on it. nor must a shoulder stock EVER of been attached to it in othres words for the $5 stamp you will need a virgin rec.
the $200 <short barreled rifle> CAN have a stock and anything under 18" for a bbl.
example:
1. you want a pistol grip on the Mossy you got at walmart. and a bbl unfer 18" <that came with a stock> ... this will be a SBR and a $200 tax.
2.you order a virgin rec .. then its a $5 tax. <AOW>
.
3. you simply wanna add a pistol grip to your shotgun and the BBL length is over 18" .. simply unscrew the stock , attach the grip .. presto.
4. get stupid and wanna saw a bbl below 18" without a form 1. and a tax paid stamp.. go to jail.
if im wroung im sure someone will correct me
